The RL-H5A, part of the new RL-H5 series by Topcon, is a versatile rotating laser suitable for a wide range of applications. It replaces the popular RL-H4C and is ideal for horizontal and sloping laser tasks. It can handle slopes up to ±5% in the X or Y axis, making it perfect for grading, excavating, and general construction projects. The “Slope Matching” feature allows for easy grade checking on flat and sloped surfaces. With a rotation speed of 600 rpm, it is compatible with machine-mounted laser sensors. The RL-H5A is highly regarded for its user-friendly nature. It features electronic self-leveling, allowing for quick setup with the press of a button. If the laser is disturbed, it will automatically relevel itself. The self-leveling motors are accurate to ±10 arc seconds. With its long-range operation, the RL-H5A can shoot elevations up to 400m and cover an 800m diameter jobsite. It has efficient power usage, offering a long battery life. The unit can be powered by either D-cell batteries (included) for 100 hours of continuous usage or the optional rechargeable (Ni-MH) battery pack for 60 hours.
